- 描述： These years, Chinese oil painters have come to realize that they should try to tap into and representthe spirit and ideas of Chinese culture in their oil paintings. ＂Imagist oil painting＂ has thus become a common pursuit among many Chinese oil painters. To some extent, the ＂imagist＂ movement shares similarities with the expressionism in Western art tradition, both pursuing individualized and subiective artist expression. However, more directly, it draws upon the time-honored tradition of ＂freehand＂ style in Chinese painting.
